Found Wins Gr3 Mooresbridge Stakes

Tuesday, 3rd May 2016

At the Curragh in Ireland, former Coolmore shuttler and triple Gr1-winning champion European sire Galileo (Sadler's Wells-Urban Sea, by Miswaki) added a Group success when 4YO mare Found (Galileo-Red Evie, by Intikhab) scored an easy 1.25-length win for trainer Aidan O'Brien and jockey Ryan Moore in the Gr3 Mooresbridge Stakes (10 furlongs) for 4YO+, over 4YO entire Success Days (Jeremy-Malaica, by Roi Gironde) & 5YO entire Fascinating Rock (Fastnet Rock-Miss Polaris, by Polar Falcon). Trained by Aidan O'Brien for the Coolmore triumvirate of Michael Tabor, Derrick Smith, and Susan Magnier, Found was having her first start since defeating European Horse of the Year Golden Horn in the Gr1 Breeders' Cup Turf (2400m) in November. She took her record to 5 wins (including the Gr1 Breeders' Cup Turf & Gr1 Prix Marcel Boussac) and 6 placings (including the Gr1 Champion Stakes, Gr1 Irish Champion Stakes, Gr1 Coronation Stakes & Gr1 Irish 1,000 Guineas) from 13 starts for over £1,895,021 earnings. Speaking after the race, O'Brien told Sky Sports: "You'd have to be very happy. The plan was that she would go next to the Tattersalls Gold Cup at the Curragh and possibly the Coronation, but basically she's to get a break with a view to later in the season." He added: "We'd be thinking two runs after the break before the Arc, and maybe the Breeders' Cup after that."
