Warwick Farm Trial For Capitalist
Co-trainer Peter Snowden says that Golden Slipper favourite Capitalist (Written Tycoon-Kitalpha, by Fusaichi Pegasus) will trial at Warwick Farm on 22 February before resuming in the Gr2 Todman Stakes (1200m) at Randwick on 5 March, reports horseracing.com.au. The Todman will serve as the boom colt's only preparatory race for the $3.5 million Gr1 Golden Slipper (1200m) at Rosehill on 19 March. "He'll trial on February 22 then it's two weeks into the Todman then another two weeks into the Slipper," Snowden said. Capitalist extended his unbeaten record to 3 wins (including the Listed Breeders' Plate & Wong Magic Millions 2YO Classic) from 3 starts for $1,419,200 earnings when scoring a brilliant win in the Magic Millions 2YO Classic at the Gold Coast last start. The son of Written Tycoon is currently the $3.50 favourite for the world's richest juvenile race.
