Real Love Wins Gr3 Asian Beau Stakes

At Ascot in Perth, LP Stallions & Lauriston Park's triple Gr1-winning stallion Desert King (Danehill-Sabaah, by Nureyev) added a Group success when 5YO mare Real Love (Desert King-Flaming Heart, by Salieri) scored by 0.8-length for trainer Adam Durrant in the $150,000 Gr3 Asian Beau Stakes (1400m), over fellow 5YO mare My Sister Lil (Snitzel-Deputy Lil, by French Deputy) & 5YO gelding Hazzabeel (Zabeel-Miss Avalon, by Fantastic Light). Providing owner Bob Peters with a dual coast stakes double (Disposition won in Melbourne – see above report), Real Love, having her first start since last February, took her record to 6 wins (also including the Gr2 Perth Cup, Gr3 Queen's Cup & Listed St Leger) & 6 placings (including the Gr2 Western Australian Derby, Gr3 Western Australian Oaks, Listed Carbine Club of WA Stakes & Listed Natasha Stakes) from 16 starts for $757,410 earnings.
