Argentine Gr2 Winner Books BC Marathon Invitation

Tuesday, 25th June 2013

Following an all-the-way-win in the Gr2 Clásico General Belgrano (2500m) in Argentina, 4YO entire Ever Rider (Rider Stripes-Alleg Dancer, by Il Corsaro) will fly the flag for his country in the US$500,000 Gr2 Breeders' Cup Marathon at Santa Anita Park (November 1), reports elturf.com. Having now won three of his past five starts, and easily coping with his first attempt at Group level, Ever Rider will now be aiming to make it back-to-back victories for Argentina at Santa Anita following the win of compatriot Calidoscopio (Luhuk-Calderona, by Lefty) who took the Belgrano/Breeders' Cup Marathon double last year to etch his name in history as Argentina's first Breeders' Cup winner. Ever Rider was bred by Luis Pittaro and Haras San José del Socorro, and is by Argentine Gr2 winner Rider Stripes (by Candy Stripes) from an unraced mare.
