Gr1 King's Stand Genuine Global Affair

Friday, 14th June 2013

South Africa's Gr1 Al Quoz Sprint winner Shea Shea (National Emblem-Yankee Clipper, by Jallad) is among 21 horses still in the nominations for the Gr1 King's Stand Stakes, reports turftrax.com. The event, to be run at Royal Ascot on Tuesday, features several international contenders including Australian-trained, NZ-bred Shamexpress. UK locals still involved are last season's Middle Park Stakes winner Reckless Abandon, Prohibit (who won this race two years ago), Kingsgate Native (who won the 2008 Gr1 Golden Jubilee when Takeover Target finished fourth), and market leaders Swiss Spirit, Mince and Pearl Secret.
