Beadman Possible For Full-Time Racing NSW Role
More than a year has passed since champion jockey Darren Beadman's career-ending fall in Hong Kong, however he could soon be back in a saddle of a different kind: mentoring young jockeys in New South Wales. According to news.com.au, Racing NSW has officially approached Beadman, who is still suffering "trouble with his balance, speech and brain functions" to consider the full-time role. Beadman won't commit to anything until he has made a full recovery, saying, "I still want to have input in the game, but with my brain injuries it will take time... I'm lucky I've got the support of my family and friends. I no longer buy green bananas - I live for today."
