Conduit Wins UK Gr1 St Leger

In the UK, Irish Ballymacoll Stud home-bred colt Conduit (Dalakhani-Well Head, by Sadler's Wells) scored a 3-lengths victory in the £500,000 (A$1.05m) Gr1 St Leger Stakes (14 furlongs) for 3YOs at Doncaster. Conduit (ridden by Frankie Dettori for trainer Sir Michael Stoute) defeated Irish-bred Gr3-winning filly Unsung Heroine (High Chaparral-Thermopylae, by Tenby) & this season's Gr1 UK Oaks-winning filly Look Here (Hernando-Last Look, by Rainbow Quest). Previously this season Conduit won July's UK Gr3 Gordon Stakes (12 furlongs) at Goodwood & finished 2nd in June's Gr2 King Edward VII Stakes 12 furlongs) at Royal Ascot; overall he now has 4 wins & 3 placings from 8 starts for £411,008 (A$863,000) earnings.
