Monday, 5th May 2008

Immediately after yesterday's victory by Admire Jupiter in Japan's prestigious Gr1 Tenno Sho-Spring (3200m) owner Riichi Kondo wept openly & declared: "I really wanted to win this race, no matter what. I've won the (Japanese) Derby & some other big races, but this is the one I've always wanted most." Kondo also noted Admire Jupiter "will be rested until the autumn season, when he could head Down Under for the Melbourne Cup," reported the-racehorse.com. Beginning this year, the Tenno Sho-Spring winner "will receive an allocation in the Melbourne Cup."
