US Sire Crafty Friend Moves To Walnford

US multiple Gr2-winning 13-year-old sire Crafty Friend (Crafty Prospector-Companionship, by Princely Native) will relocate from Hopewell Farm in Kentucky (where he stood since retiring after the 1999 season) to Walnford Stud in New Jersey for the 2007 breeding season at a US$6,000 fee, reported thoroughbredtimes.com. Crafty Friend has sired 113 winners (7 stakes winners, including this year's Gr3 Maryland Breeders' Cup Sprint Handicap victor Friendly Island) from 171 starters who have earned US$5,581,623. On the track, Crafty Friend won 8 of 35 starts (4 graded stakes victories, including the Gr2 Forego Handicap, Gr2 Tom Fool Handicap & Gr2 Bel Air Handicap) & earned US$967,700.
