Monday, 27th March 2006

Former Baramul Stud shuttler Vettori (Machiavellian-Air Distingue, by Sir Ivor) added a group success when veteran 8YO gelding Mustard (Vettori-Altezza, by Rigoletto) scored a 1.75-lengths victory in the $100,000 Gr3 Star Kingdom Stakes (1100m) at Rosehill. Mustard (ridden by Jim Cassidy for trainer John McNair) defeated 6YO mare Shannon Bank (Bluebird-Lusty's Bank, by Sovereign Red) & 3YO colt Denmarket (Lord Dane-Business Babe, by Bletchingly). Mustard (a $16,000 yearling at the 1999 Magic Millions Summer Sale & subsequently sold for $45,000 as an older horse at the 2004 Inglis Spring Thoroughbred Sale) now has 13 wins (also including the 2004 Listed Razor Sharp Stakes over 1100m) & 19 placings in 63 starts for $453,830 earnings.
